My first circuit party. The parties never seemed as big or as crowded as they did then. See the cages? At one point in the night I found myself dancing and hanging from one of the cages. It was the first time I set foot on a box. And God help the twinks who have tried to knock me off since.

Convergence

I’ve been craving a circuit party. I miss the Austin parties and wish they hadn’t been discontinued. I need to dance. I want to slip into that convergence of euphoria and oblivion. This video posted on Joe.My.God made me nostalgic for those early days when I was first introduced to circuit parties.

Market Value

Mr. Market made me promise to call him before he left JRs the night we met. Because I told myself before moving to DC that I would make more of an effort to meet new people and not simply rely on my friends to introduce me to theirs, I did. Although Mr. Market had been a bit too forward and tipsy for my taste when we initially met, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and meet him for drinks on Friday night. At the very least I might get laid if he’s nice enough … or I drink enough.

166 and Counting

Living in a walkable city has its perks. I have lost 14 pounds. I feel like Miranda in the Sex and the City episode when she finally fits into her skinny jeans again. And yes, I do, too.

I’ve been to the gym once since moving here. Imagine what I could accomplish with a little discipline.
