A new social discount service, The Daily Hookup, is launching this Spring and they’re targeting the gay community. From their website:
Here’s who we’re not: Your mother’s Groupon.
Here’s who we are: A “social-buying” service designed specifically for gay guys and those smart enough to follow their lead. (We’re looking at you, metros…)
Each day we’ll offer you a top quality, deeply discounted deal. But unlike other services, the deal will be something you actually want, in neighborhoods where you live or hang out, from merchants you want to support. Even better: a share of each sale goes to a charity you care about.
We’re gearing up to launch this spring in New York City and Washington, DC with additional cities soon to follow.
Why does The Daily Hookup get better deals than Groupon? Because our membership is comprised of trendsetters who buy great stuff, hang out at great places, and lead the pack. We’re better customers who deserve better deals.
I immediately got bored annoyed with Groupon, LivingSocial, and Thrillist. Maybe a niché service is what I really need.
